Celebrating Achievements at King’s Hawford this week
At today’s Celebration Assembly, King’s Hawford proudly acknowledged the remarkable achievements of its children, celebrating their hard work, dedication, and impressive accomplishments both inside and outside the classroom. The assembly commenced with a captivating violin performance by Georgia P playing Halleluiah.
Mr Butt then went on to recognise children on their hard work and achievements both inside and outside of school.
Headmaster’s Awards (HMA):
- Year 4 Science: Children showcased their exceptional work on the electrical safety topic, creating impressive posters highlighting the dangers of electricity. Congratulations to Amelie, Aurelia, Fearne, Bruce, and Elise!
- Year 2 Writing: Poppy B dazzled with her creative writing on setting descriptions.
- Reading Scrapbooks: Monty shared his summer reading adventures, detailing trips to the library and his favourite reading spots. Marelia impressed everyone with her scrapbook, featuring her experiences reading to her grandparents in Greece and her pet cat.
- Swimming: Samuel demonstrated the value of resilience, confidence, and determination in swimming.
- Year 3 English Achievements: Georgina demonstrated exceptional use of prepositions in her writing, while Aoife and Alice received praise for their contributions on World Poetry Day and work in English.
- Year 1 Creativity: Freddie and Theodore presented a stunning model of Buckingham Palace, showcasing the value of creativity.
Well-being Group Comic Club: Robyn confidently stood up during assembly to present her new Comic Club, which will be held every Friday lunchtime in the Outdoor Classroom.
Additional Awards both inside and outside school
- Hockey: Sadie G was named Hockey Superstar of the Week from her local club.
- Equestrian: Congratulations to Georgina N. for her success in the Kitebrook Prep School Competition.
- Gymnastics: Elizabeth D and Florence J achieved Level 4 on the vault.
- Swimming: Zara O completed the 200m Stage 7 Certificate.
- Times Table Badge: Congratulations to Alice H.
Well done to Eleanor N for achieving 5 Merits.
Mrs. Hughes extended heartfelt congratulations to everyone involved in the Informal Concert, commending their ambition in tackling challenging musical selections, and resilience when things did not go to plan.
