Easter House Competition: Creativity and Engineering Put to the Test
This morning marked the much-anticipated end-of-term House Easter Competition, where our pupils faced a unique challenge: designing and constructing a basket using minimal resources, strong enough to carry 24 chocolate eggs across the quad.
Gathering in their houses, teams quickly got to work, brainstorming and assembling their baskets. With no glue or adhesive allowed, creativity and clever engineering were essential. Once completed, each basket was put through its paces in a rigorous test to determine which would represent its house in the final round.
The results were impressive, every final basket successfully carried the 24 eggs across the quad, demonstrating both strength and ingenuity. With such high-quality designs on display, the ultimate decision came down to aesthetics and innovation. After careful deliberation, Mr. Hawker crowned Wilson House the overall winner.
To celebrate their achievement, and the fantastic effort from all teams, chocolate eggs were shared all around, a sweet ending to a brilliantly competitive event!
