End of Term Sports Awards

As the term comes to a close, we took the opportunity to celebrate our Most Improved Players and Players of the Season in our end of term sports awards.

These awards recognise not only talent but also dedication, progress, and outstanding attitude.

The entire sports staff would like to say a huge well done to every single child for their fantastic efforts, enthusiasm, and sportsmanship this term. It’s been a brilliant season of growth, teamwork, and achievement and are so proud to award those in the end of term sports awards.

Year 3 Netball Player of the Term – Alice H

Alice is a natural sportswoman who excels across a range of sports. In netball this term, she has demonstrated outstanding movement on the court. Her speed and agility allow her to intercept the ball confidently, even when playing against older and taller opponents. Only yesterday, in our Easter Tournament, she held her own against strong Year 4 players.

Alice’s dedication to improving her shooting accuracy has paid off, with some superb goals scored from the back of the D during fixtures. She consistently positions herself well, showing a deep understanding of the game. Congratulations to Alice on a thoroughly deserved to win an award in the end of terms sports awards!

Year 3 Netball Most Improved Player – Isla H

Isla has shown fantastic progress this term. She listens attentively to coaching feedback and is beginning to apply it during games. She arrives at lessons ready to play and is fully committed to her team.

Her movement on court has grown more confident, and she is making smarter decisions with the ball. It has been a pleasure to watch Isla grow as a player, and we hope her enthusiasm continues into the cricket season. Well done, Isla!

Year 3 Most improved player – Casper H

This year’s Most Improved Player for Year 3 is Casper H, a standout performer who has shown tremendous growth and dedication. Throughout the season, Casper has displayed exceptional defensive ability, becoming a crucial part of the team’s backline. His positioning, awareness, and determination have made him a reliable defender, often stepping up at key moments to stop attacking plays.

One of his most impressive qualities is his ability to make goal-saving tackles, preventing numerous scoring opportunities for the opposition. His confidence and composure under pressure have significantly improved, allowing him to make smart decisions and lead by example. Casper’s hard work and commitment to developing his skills have not gone unnoticed, and his performances have played a vital role in the team’s success.

With his continuous improvement and strong defensive mindset, Casper H is a well-deserving recipient of this award. Congratulations on a fantastic season!

Year 4 Netball Player of the Term – Eleanor N

Eleanor has had an outstanding season and is a natural choice for this award. Her dedication to training, leadership, and consistently strong performances have made her a key member of the Year 4 netball squad.

She excels in both attacking and defensive roles, with excellent passing, awareness, and decision-making. Eleanor motivates her teammates and leads with positivity and resilience. Her work ethic and sportsmanship make her a role model on and off the court. Congratulations, Eleanor!

Year 4 Most Improved player of the term – Ellie H

Ellie has continued to grow in confidence and skill on the Netball court this term. She is consistent and accurate with her shooting, fast and dynamic in the centre of the court and fantastic at marking in defense. She is a wonderful all-rounder on the court and an excellent team player and is very deserving of this award this term.

Year 4 Most Improved Footballer – Rupert T and Gabriel C

Rupert has enjoyed a fantastic term in football, showing great enthusiasm and dedication. He has worked hard and always approaches lessons with a positive attitude. Throughout the term, he has developed his skills in a variety of positions and has begun to find his scoring boots in front of goal.

Gabriel has grown in confidence and developed a greater awareness of the game, improving his positional understanding. As a defender, he has become more adept at reading the game, making crucial interceptions, and clearing the ball away from danger. His proactive approach has made him a key part of the team’s defense.

Year 5 Player  of the term- Charlotte F

This young lady has high expectations of herself and gives her absolute best every time she steps on the court. Her shooting is incredibly accurate and consistent and I don’t think I have seen her miss a shot this whole term! She is proof that hard work and practice really does payoff! She is equally able in every other position on court, she was selected on merit to play up with the Year 6’s in this years IAPS Netball competition and held her own against girls older and more experienced than her. Charlotte is very deserving of this award this season.

Year 5 Most Improved player of the term – Izzy W

Izzy has continued to impress the girls games coaches this term with her exceptionally consistent shooting and her clever movement in the middle of the court. She has shown an excellent level of understanding of the game and has contributed significantly to every team she has played with. I really look forward to seeing Izzy continue with these high levels of confidence but particularly the enjoyment she has shown this term.

Year 4 Football Player of the Term – Joshy R

Joshy has been outstanding all term, showcasing excellent skills on the ball. He is a fantastic dribbler with a powerful shot, making him a constant threat to the opposition. Several coaches and referees have praised his abilities during school fixtures. As the term has progressed, he has shown increased resilience and determination, making him an even more effective p

Year 5 Football Most Improved Player – Louis Y

Louis has shown continuous improvement throughout the term, both in lessons and clubs. His effort and commitment have been exceptional.

He has become a key figure in defence, showing strength, growing confidence, and a much-improved understanding of positioning. His development has made a real impact on team performance. Well done, Louis!

Year 5 Football Player of the Term – Will G

Will has consistently impressed this term and has gained praise from opposition coaches and teachers for his leadership and awareness.

He reads the game well, stays composed under pressure, and is a strong and organised defender. His passing range and ability to transition play make him an essential player and a standout team leader. Great work, Will!

Year 6 Football Most Improved Player – Noah L

Noah began the term as a traditional no-nonsense defender. As the season progressed, so did his awareness and confidence on the ball.

He now makes smarter decisions, finds effective passes, and helps launch attacks from defence. His footwork and technique have improved significantly, and he now takes on players with skill. Noah has the potential to develop into a fast, ball-playing centre-back. Excellent progress this term and congratulations on your recognition in the end of term sports awards!

Year 6 Football Player of the Term – Arthur A

Arthur began in defence but flourished in a box-to-box midfield role. His energy and drive have made him a key player.

Always available to receive the ball, he’s confident under pressure and often breaks past opponents in tight spaces. His attitude and work rate have been second to none—he is truly the engine of the team.

Year 6 Football Player of the Term – Jude R

Jude has been the team’s most creative and dangerous attacker this term. His speed, agility, and dribbling ability allow him to glide past defenders and create goal-scoring chances.

He’s worked hard to improve his finishing and is now the top goal scorer. Jude also puts in the hard yards defensively, showing strong commitment to regaining possession and supporting the team.

Year 6 Netball Most Improved Player – Chloe T

Chloe has shown exceptional growth this season. From the outset, she was focused on improving—and she has certainly done so.

She now plays with greater confidence, demonstrates solid understanding of tactics, and shows improved fitness and agility. Chloe’s positive attitude and ability to learn from mistakes have made her an inspiration to her teammates. Her progress has been remarkable, and we hope she continues her netball journey at senior school. Well done, Chloe!

Year 6 Netball Players of the Term – Sophie W & Millie B

Sophie W
Sophie has had an outstanding season. Her court awareness, passing accuracy, and ability to read the game have made her a key attacker. She consistently creates scoring opportunities and shows excellent teamwork. Her dedication and resilience—particularly at IAPS—have been inspiring to players in her year and below. A well-earned award, Sophie!

Millie B
Millie has shone as a leader this season. Her speed and agility make her a formidable centre-court player, and her communication with teammates is clear and encouraging. Her commitment and sportsmanship were especially evident at IAPS, where she showed true resilience by bouncing back from injury mid-game. Millie has been a vital team member and fully deserves this recognition.
