Family Concert Inspires Young Musicians

A number of King’s Hawford pupils attended the Worcestershire Symphony Orchestra’s sold-out family concert on Saturday.

The children thoroughly enjoyed listening to a fabulous programme of music, including Disney’s  ‘Aladdin’ suite with some incredible jazzy melodies; the cool music of Henry Mancini including ‘Pink Panther’;  and the virtuosic ‘Scheherazade’ by Saint Saens.

It was a wonderful concert where pupils could get up close to the orchestra, and where members of the County Youth Orchestra joined the WSO for some pieces which proved to be very inspiring for our budding musicians. They also enjoyed the lunacy of the conductor dressed as a magic carpet!

The concert featured an impressive orchestra of 90 players with WSO and WYO combined, and the sound and standard was incredible.
