On Wednesday, 41 excited children visited Fernhill House Care Home to bring festive cheer to the residents through a delightful mix of performances.
The group, comprising Year 2 to Year 6 LAMDA pupils and the Junior Choir, showcased poetry, short acted scenes, and a selection of Christmas songs.
The children’s enthusiasm shone brightly as they performed festive favourites like Santa Claus is Coming to Town and Winter Wonderland. Their smiles and lively energy brought joy to the audience, creating a heartwarming atmosphere. One particularly touching moment was hearing some residents join in singing White Christmas, adding to the festive spirit.
The visit was a wonderful opportunity for the children to share their talents and spread holiday cheer. The residents’ smiles and applause made the day even more special for everyone involved. Plans are already underway to visit Fernhill House again later in the year to entertain the residents with more performances.
This event highlighted the power of music and performance to bring people together and spread happiness, making it a memorable experience for both the children and the residents.
