Supporting Malvern St James Families

We are sorry to hear the news regarding Malvern St James School and recognise how difficult and unsettling this will be for its community.

The King’s Worcester Foundation wishes to offer a supportive and practical conversation to MSJ families who may be considering their next steps for September. Where appropriate, we would be happy to discuss potential places across our schools and to answer any questions.

Contact us confidentially to arrange a conversation.

Kindergarten’s Festive Fun

The festivities have continued for our Kindergarten children this week, as they enjoyed Christmas trips offsite. On Monday, our youngest pupils headed to Little Big Town in Stourport and on Tuesday, Kindergarten 2 visited Malvern Theatres!

Kindergarten 1 children were filled with excitement as they departed from King’s Hawford; they thoroughly enjoyed the journey on the minibuses, which was a first for many of them! On arrival in Stourport, the children headed to Little Big Town for a special Santa Experience session. They spent some time enjoying the role-play areas, which include a construction site, a police station, a farm, a fire station, a vets, a beauty salon, a supermarket, a hospital and a post office. The John Deere tractor proved incredibly popular and was very much in demand.

The children were treated to a Christmas tree biscuit before Mandy the Elf arrived to visit them. They each received a gift from Santa, along with a bag of magic reindeer food, colouring pens and a cone of sweet treats. The trip back to school was filled with plenty of singing, as the children practised their Christmas songs!

On Tuesday it was the turn of our Kindergarten 2 children. The excitement in KG2 reached fever pitch as the children waited to board the minibuses. As the ‘buses rolled into action, the children let out a collective cheer! The short journey to Malvern was punctuated with the chatter of little voices and, on arrival, the children enjoyed a quick snack before taking their seats for the show. The children enjoyed the age-appropriate There is a Monster in my Christmas Show. The brilliant puppetry and catchy songs held the children’s attention for the full 50 minutes of the performance. The staff were incredibly proud of the children, all of whom were excellent ambassadors for the School. They were all wonderfully behaved.

What an exciting couple of days these have been for Kindergarten!
