Kings Hawford Equestrian Riders Qualify in Style at NSEA Show Jumping Qualifier
The Kings Hawford Equestrian Team delivered another outstanding performance at the NSEA Show Jumping Qualifier held at Rectory Farm Arena, securing multiple top finishes and an impressive set of qualifications for the National Championships at Hickstead later this year.
The day began with the 40cm Style Class, where Georgina N, riding her new pony Storm, joined forces with new team members Izzy and Charlotte P. The team produced a fantastic round, finishing on just 16 penalties—an impressive 24 points ahead of the runners-up. Georgina claimed 1st place individually, with Izzy securing 4th out of 40 riders. Bella W and Claudia O also competed individually, both jumping clear rounds and earning top 10 finishes, meaning all five children have now qualified for the NSEA Grassroots Championships.
In the 50cm Optimum Time Class, Kings Hawford fielded two full teams among over 50 riders. Team “Chevrons” (Annie W, Izzy W, Georgina N, and Charlotte P) took 1st place, while Team “Spots” (Bella W, Claudia O, Georgie B, and Olivia W) finished 2nd. It was the first competition for Charlotte and Olivia, and a height debut for Georgina—making the result even more impressive. With seven clear rounds and multiple top 10 individual placings, all eight children earned their championship qualification.
The success continued in the 60cm Speed Class, where Olivia W, Annie W, Georgie B, and Chloe T each delivered clear rounds. Their combined efforts earned the team a strong 4th-place finish and yet another championship qualification.
In the 70cm class, Rosie H made her debut at this height with her new pony, Bugsy, who she has had for just three weeks. Riding alongside Chloe T on Tam, both delivered flawless clear rounds. Chloe placed 6th and Rosie 8th, with Chloe earning another qualification spot for the team.
In total, Kings Hawford children completed 19 rounds across four competitive classes. Every single team competing qualified for the championships—an incredible achievement and testament to the children’s dedication and team spirit.
With the team now 14 members strong, Kings Hawford continues to grow its presence in the National Schools Equestrian Association. The determination, sportsmanship, and Hawford grit on display made it a day to remember.
We couldn’t be prouder of them all.
