Musical Theatre Club Delights with Sweet Performance of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

This delightful informal performance took place in the music room, brought to life with vibrant costumes, fun hats, and even the occasional wig! The show began brightly with the beautifully sung, pitch-perfect opening number Almost Nearly Perfect. Annie W shone as Charlie Bucket, and Bonnie W impressed in dual roles as Mrs Pratchett and an Oompa Loompa.

Ariana P was excellent as the spoilt Veruca Salt, with Charlie PW hilariously playing her glamorous mother, Mrs Salt. India B delivered a strong performance as Mr Wonka, as did Georgia B as Grandpa Joe, while Ellie M played Violet Beauregarde with comedic flair. Joshy R was an assured Chocolate Factory Tour Guide, while Lily G and Charlotte P played cheerful villagers and Oompa Loompas.

The show ended on a high with The Candy Man, featuring lovely short solos from all. Sadly, Valerie M (Augustus Gloop) couldn’t perform due to illness, but her hard work throughout the year was appreciated.
