Outstanding Performances at the Regional IAPS Swimming Competition
Seventeen children participated in the Regional IAPS Swimming Competition at Millfield School, where they had the chance to compete against much larger schools with strong swimming reputations.
The event featured 18 different races, and the children excelled, finishing in the top 3 in 11 of them. They earned 4 first-place finishes and 3 second-place finishes.
A special highlight was the U11 boys team’s victory in both the medley relay and freestyle relay. Individual successes were also notable, with Noah L securing first place in the 50m butterfly and Thea E finishing first in the 50m freestyle. Daisy E, from Year 5, swam up in the U11 relay teams and showed impressive skill.
The children represented the school with incredible enthusiasm and determination, displaying sportsmanship and resilience throughout the competition. Their performances have made the school proud, and now everyone eagerly awaits to see if any of their times qualify for the national finals at the London Aquatic Centre later this summer.
