Pupils Lead the Way in Double County Championship Triumph

King’s Hawford pupils shone brightly this past Sunday, playing key roles in Ombersley’s double victory at the County Finals. The school’s talented children were at the heart of both the U9 girls’ and U10 cricket teams, which claimed county titles in their respective competitions.

The Ombersley U9 girls’ team delivered a stellar performance, winning all three of their matches against Bromsgrove, Hagley, and Astwood Bank in commanding fashion. Leading the charge were King’s Hawford pupils Jasmine, Florrie, Charlotte, and Valerie, whose exceptional teamwork and skill helped secure the county title. Their contributions, along with Romi from King’s St Albans, were pivotal in ensuring a clean sweep for the team.

Adding to the success, Year 6 pupils Marnie P and Henry K played crucial roles in Ombersley’s U10 cricket team, leading them to victory in the U10 Cup competition. Their dedication and sportsmanship throughout the tournament were key in securing the prestigious win.

This remarkable double triumph highlights the strength of King’s Hawford’s sporting program, with pupils playing integral roles in high-level competitions. The school is immensely proud of Jasmine, Florrie, Charlotte, Valerie, Marnie, and Henry for their outstanding achievements, and their victories serve as a testament to their hard work and commitment.

Congratulations to all involved for representing both Ombersley and King’s Hawford so exceptionally well!
