Signing Off the Term with a Bumper Celebration Assembly

This morning, the whole school gathered together for the final Celebration Assembly of the Autumn Term, and it was wonderful to welcome a number of parents to assembly. The School Orchestra kicked things off with a wonderful rendition of Another One Bites The Dust, followed by the festive classic Good King Wenceslas. After a quick shuffle of instruments and music stands, Windband Group launched into tremendous performances of Jingle Bell Rock and We Wish You A Merry Christmas. 

Achievements Outside of School:

Last Year, Old Hawfordian Rose G (2023) won a Young Writers’ Award and had her piece published. Current pupils Jess K and Charlotte F also had their work featured in the book and Mr Butt was able to congratulate both girls in assembly this morning.

Well done to Ellis N, who has recently achieved his Swim England Level Five Award.

Karate Grading:

Well done to our martial arts superstars, who were all awarded with their very first belts from Sensai Anisha last night. Mr Butt was delighted to be able to re-award the belts in assembly this morning.

Headmaster’s Awards:

James B was awarded a HMA for his brilliant work on improper fractions. Year Three have been working hard on their Egyptian topic, and Persie D, Fearne B and Aurelia A all produced some excellent cartouches. Palmer G received a HMA for his fantastic maths work, as did Georgia P, who has been an absolute delight this term and has impressed all her teachers.
