Year 6 Girls attend Superball Netball Training

At Saturday’s eagerly awaited Superball event, our Year 6 girls were fortunate to participate in an unforgettable netball training session with children from King’s St Alban’s, RGS The Grange, and RGS Springfield at the University Arena.

Divided into smaller groups, the players focused on improving key skills such as agility, passing accuracy, and defensive strategies. The session offered a fantastic opportunity for them to hone their techniques, gain expert feedback, and soak in the vibrant energy of a major sporting event. They worked tirelessly, pushing their limits and encouraging each other, which helped foster a strong sense of teamwork and camaraderie among the girls.

A memorable highlight of the day was the chance to train on the main court in a sold-out arena, where the thrilling atmosphere of Superball added to the excitement. For many of the girls, this experience ignited aspirations of one day competing in such high-profile matches themselves. The buzzing crowd and high-energy environment made the day all the more special, and many of the players left with a newfound passion for the sport. Their enthusiasm and determination throughout the session were truly inspiring.

We are incredibly proud of our Year 6 girls for their dedication and passion—who knows, we may see some of them playing on the Superball court in the future! Their performance proved that with hard work and perseverance, anything is possible.
