Assembly celebrates spectacular end to the year

Today the whole school gathered together in The Barn to celebrate some of the spectacular achievements of the academic year.

Chess:

Mr Berry has been very impressed with all the children who have taken part in Chess Club this year. Pupils from Year Two were praised for taking part in the Summer Term Chess Programme. Cassian W, Fearne B, Simi H, Isaac R, Gabriel C, Amelie B, Connie C, Alanna A and Tom H were all praised in assembly for their efforts this term.

Year Three: 1st Charles H, 2nd Freddie W and 3rd Ariana P.

Year Four: 1st Finn MP, 2nd Josiah and 3rd Elliot C.

Year Five: 1st Sofia E, 2nd Harry C and 3rd Isaac.

Year Six: 1st Michelle Z, 2nd Max M and 3rd Max D.

Inter House Chess Competition:

This term saw Houses going head to head in the Inter House Chess Competition; Kinver House took the honours. Well done to Nicholas, Freddie, Harry, Charles, Lyra, Cameron, Oliver and Barnaby, who all represented Kinver.

Maths Challenge:

Well done to Ariana (Bronze), Austin (Silver) and Barnaby (Silver) for their performances in the Maths Challenge.

Activity Badges:

Today, pupils were awarded certificates to commemorate the badges they have achieved during Celebration Assembly this academic year.

Headmaster Awards (HMAs):

Mr Butt was delighted to award two final HMAs for this academic year. Daisy received a HMA for a spectacular poem about Our Planet as part of Arts Week and Jasper P’s stunning graffiti-style artwork earned him a HMA and a trip to the basket of brilliance.

Prize Giving:

There was one award left over from Prize Giving on Saturday and Mr Butt was honoured to award Khaleefah GF the Colonel William Cup for all-round progress this year during our Assembly.
