A Week of Success at Hawford
Today’s assembly was a break from our usual format, as we welcomed maths teacher, Mr Hemming, from Big King’s. To celebrate Pi Week, Mr Hemming explained to us all not only what Pi worked, but how it can teach us some valuable lessons in life.
Mr Hemming that Pi is a number that never ends; you can keep adding numbers to it forever. Pi shows us that it’s not just about finishing, but always trying to be a little better than we were yesterday.
Thank you, Mr Hemming, for this wonderful insight into how maths can inspire us in our everyday lives.
It was then business as usual as we celebrated all the wonderful achievements from Hawford over the last week.
Following his success at the Worcester Competitive Arts Festival, James F played the harp.
We all enjoyed singing Hymn Lord of all Hopefulness, while the prayer was read by Henry.
