Bertie Makes a Splash at the National IAPS Swimming Finals
Last weekend, Year 5 pupil Bertie W travelled to the prestigious London Aquatics Centre to compete in the National IAPS Swimming Finals, an event that brings together some of the country’s most talented young swimmers.
Competing in the highly competitive 50m Freestyle, Bertie rose to the occasion with an outstanding performance. Swimming a personal best time of 33.67 seconds, he finished third in his heat, securing his place in the national final. Bertie then went on to achieve a remarkable 9th-place finish in the country. To compete on one of the nation’s most iconic swimming stages and perform so impressively against the very best young swimmers in the country is an achievement of which he should be immensely proud.
Mr Hooman Director of Sport at King’s St Alban’s commented “What a fantastic achievement. To perform at such a high level on the national stage is truly outstanding. His success is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and commitment he puts into his training in the pool. The school is immensely proud of his achievements.”
We look forward to following his future achievements in the pool.
