King’s Hawford Rising Cricket Stars
We are very proud of our 6 girls in Years 5 and 6 who have been selected as part of the Worcestershire Girls Under 11 cricket squad.
They are continuing the recent history of girls cricket at King’s Hawford and follow in the footsteps of a number of girls who have played for Worcestershire in recent years. The King’s Foundation has enjoyed incredible success on the cricket field in recent years with the senior girls making an impression in national competitions.
Jonny Mason Foundation Director of Sport
It is fantastic to hear about the 6 girls who have been selected for the U11s Worcestershire Cricket squad. This is an impressive achievement for the girls and for Hawford and it bodes well for the season to come. The King’s Foundation has a rich history in producing County, Divisional and National female Cricketers. Phoebe Brett in year 12 has recently been selected for the U19s World Cup. We look forward to working with such a talented group in the coming years and seeing them develop in what is one of the best Cricket programmes in the country.
Tilly C, First XI Captain KSW
I would like to congratulate the girls on their selection. I started my cricket journey at King’s Hawford and was selected for Worcestershire Under 11s in Year 6. The start given me by King’s Hawford allowed me to flourish within the county system and I’m sure the girls will enjoy their cricket journey as much as me. To see 6 girls selected is amazing and I look forward to hearing about their successes as they move through the school. I am sure they will benefit from the expert coaching and access to advice from strength and conditioning specialists that King’s have offered me.
