Hawford May Fete

We were so blessed last Friday to have a window of blue skies and sun to celebrate our May Fete. The children in Kindergarten up to Year 2 had been practicing their May Pole dances and all the parents and visitors were delighted by their performances. After the dancing, the crowds dispersed to try out the children's stalls (some of which were very wet!), the flower stalls, as well as the food. The sunshine certainly helped aid the ease of ice cream sales!

We are very proud of our children, who's stalls managed to raise around £400 for Winston's Wish. The creativity and energy employed to entice people over to their stalls was highly amusing to watch. They even managed to persuade the teachers to participate- in particular one Year 6 teacher had his hair sprayed a rainbow of colours!
