Hawford Shrove Tuesday activities

Shrove Tuesday was fully embraced at Hawford today. Miss Owens' class were split into groups to experience four tasting areas: sugar with lemon, honey, chocolate sauce and jam. The children were delighted to sample so many flavours and get wonderfully sticky!

This is all part of their Early Years Outcomes, where they are encouraged to develop their self-awareness, self-confidence and to practice their ability to share opinions with their peers. Once they had finished sampling the different taste experiences, they got together to discuss their favourite flavour and make a pictogram.

Safe to say they had a wonderful time and all got into one big sticky mess!
