KG1 and Rainbow Room: A Foggy Adventure in Forest School

This week, KG1 and Rainbow Room children enjoyed an exciting session in Forest School, braving a misty and atmospheric woodland setting.
The fog added an enchanting touch to their outdoor adventures as they enthusiastically participated in various activities designed to foster teamwork, creativity, and a love for nature.

The highlight of the day was the “Sleeping Hedgehogs” game led by Mrs. Redman. The children embraced their roles as hedgehogs, practicing attentive listening and diligently following the game’s instructions. Their giggles and enthusiasm brought warmth to the chilly morning.

Teamwork was front and centre as the children embarked on a woodland scavenger hunt, working together to find and rescue “lost” woodland animal figures hidden among the trees. The thrill of discovery filled the air as they bonded over their shared mission.

After the scavenger hunt, the children had the opportunity to explore a variety of self-chosen activities in the forest. From building with sticks to imaginative play, their creativity knew no bounds. The session provided a wonderful blend of structured learning and free exploration.
