Kindergarten make magical Christmas memories

On Wednesday 7th December children from Kindergarten enjoyed a magical Christmas trip to Little Owl Farm Park! The children, wrapped up nice and warm to protect against the icy temps departed King’s Hawford aboard the school minibuses. The buses were filled with excited chatter as the children mused on what lay ahead.

On arrival the children visited Father Christmas in his cosy magical grotto. All of the children spent time talking with Father Christmas and discussing what they have wished for. The children were so enchanted by this encounter – it was wonderful to watch as they took in the Christmas magic of the setting.

After their visit with Father Christmas, the children followed Snowball The Elf to his workshop. He told the children that Father Christmas was going to let each girl and boy select one toy from the workshop to take home as an early Christmas present. We were very relieved that all of the children from Kindergarten 2 had made the nice list!

The children then enjoyed a festive show performed by Mother Christmas and Rudolf – the children found out if they were nice or naughty from his machine – it turns out Miss Woolley made the naughty list! There were squeals of delight at this stage.

After the show the children then had a dance to Christmas music. Not only was this wonderfully festive but it also helped keep everyone toasty! There were some brilliant dance moves on display and this was just from the members of King’s Hawford staff! The children were captivated by the real snow that fell during their dancing!

Once they were danced out the children set off to meet with some of Father Christmas’s reindeer. They got to take it in turns stroking the reindeer which they thoroughly loved. The keepers spoke with the children about the reindeers like to eat in preparation for Christmas Eve to ensure they have enough energy to fly all around the world pulling Father Christmas’ sleigh.

Finally the children spent time making their very own magical Christmas decoration to take home!

The children were an absolute credit to their parents, they were wonderfully behaved and impressed everyone during their time at Little Owl Farm Park. Well done Kindergarten 2 we hope you all have a magical Christmas.
