Hawford welcomes Emma Lane to Reception

A big warm welcome to Emma Lane who has joined us as Reception Class Teacher after we said goodbye to Miss Howland at the end of the Spring Term.

Emma joins us from Monmouth School Pre-Prep where she taught in Years 1 and 2 for 6 years. Prior to Monmouth she taught in Reception at Waycroft Academy in Bristol.

Emma has an extensive background in education after studying for a degree in education at The University of Wales. After several happy years as a Teaching Assistant she decided to complete a PGCE, specialising in Music and ICT at the University of Gloucestershire.

With a passion for learning and creating different ways to engage children, Emma has already started a Football Club and Glee Club for our Reception children to enjoy. Watch this space for their first performance.

Upon joining King’s Hawford, Emma said: “I fell in love with Hawford as soon as I visited for the first time. The open spaces are just wonderful and the children are so excited to come into school each day and participate in their activities. The staff are very warm and welcoming, all of which combines to create a wonderful environment to teach in.”

Welcome to Hawford Emma.
