We have begun our space topic with an exciting surprise! Over half term, an astronaut named Anton landed at Hawford but lost some of his belongings. He wrote a letter to reception, asking for help in finding them.
The children eagerly searched and discovered moon rock, a space book, a hat, gloves, and many more space-related items. Along with this mission, Anton also requested their help in learning about space. He asked them to create a book filled with information about the planets to support his research.
This exciting project will guide our literacy lessons over the coming weeks. Through reading, writing, and research, the children will explore fascinating facts about space while developing their literacy skills. This immersive approach will inspire curiosity and creativity, making learning about space an engaging adventure. We look forward to seeing their fantastic work come to life!
