Three Days of Adventure on Year 3 Residential
Our young adventurers from Year 3 were excited to embark on a three-day residential trip to Boundless Outdoors in Malvern last week.
Accompanied by Mr Marsland, Miss Lake, Mrs Cornish, Mrs Butt, Miss Benvie and Mr Liggins, all our Year 3 children were warmly welcomed by their course director, Luke, and quickly settled into their new surroundings and routines.
Throughout their stay, the children embraced a wide range of activities designed to challenge and inspire them. These included bushcraft, archery, climbing, problem-solving, nightline and tunnels, a wild woods walk, ziplining, and low ropes.
Across all activities, the pupils demonstrated impressive resilience, growing independence, and fantastic listening skills as they followed instructions and supported one another.
A highlight of the trip came on Wednesday evening, when the children were joined by Mrs Redman and Mr Stigant for a sunset walk up End Hill. The group was rewarded with breath-taking views across Worcestershire, made even more special as they enjoyed delicious lemon cake together at the top.
On Thursday evening, after another full day of adventure, the children relaxed in the Common Room, bringing along their duvets and pillows to enjoy a cosy film night with hot chocolate – a perfect way to wind down and reflect on their achievements.
Well done to the boys in ‘Abberley’ dorm (Harris, Oliver, George, Theodore and Monty) who won the ‘tidiest dorm’ competition, receiving a free gift from the souvenir shop for their impeccable tidiness throughout the stay!
We are incredibly proud of all the children for their enthusiasm and bravery throughout the trip. Many stepped confidently out of their comfort zones, making their first ‘off-site’ residential at King’s Hawford a truly memorable and rewarding experience for everyone involved.
