King's Hawford

Weekly Review: Autumn Term 22 Week1
This morning we welcomed Rev Rich back to Hawford for a very poignant Celebration Assembly. It seemed apt to start the assembly talking about the death of Queen Elizabeth II. Rev Rich spent time reflecting on Her Majesty’s life and all that she achieved during her many years of selfless service and duty. Pupils were asked to consider how many House Points they might award the Queen and what certificates they felt she should be presented with. Suggestions ranged from ‘Well done for being our Queen for such a long time’, ‘Thank you for always being loyal and kind’ and ‘Thank you for caring for the whole Commonwealth’.
Rev Rich then lead the school in prayer, asking God to comfort and protect the Royal Family, the United Kingdom and all those who are mourning. He also offered prayers for King Charles III.
Mrs Knight then proceeded to present awards to pupils who have shone this week. Top House Point Achiever certificates were awarded to:
Rupert C (Y1), Elise M (Y2), Ariana P (Y3), Josiah (Y4), Henry W (Y5) and Edith (Y6). Well done for an excellent start to the Academic Year!
Over the last 4 days pupils have managed to amass a total of 938 House Points between them. One week into the new academic year, Bredon have taken the lead!
Well done to Barnaby B in Year 5, who was awarded his King’s Hawford Badge. The King’s Hawford Badge is awarded to those who have demonstrated service to others and who act as good citizens across the school.
