Year 4 Campout Marks a Starry Start to the School Year

The year kicked off with a fantastic first residential last week – a campout right on school grounds for our Year 4 pupils.

On Thursday afternoon, the children stayed behind after school to embark on their overnight adventure. Grouped by forms, they took to the canal for a canoeing session, swapping over to enjoy a fun and engaging team-building activity. After working up an appetite, they tucked into a hearty tea before letting off steam in the play area.

As the sun set, the evening was rounded off with a cosy campfire where the children toasted s’mores and shared stories under the stars. Then it was time to snuggle into their tents for a night of outdoor sleep and excitement.

The next morning began with packing up and a delicious breakfast to fuel them for the day ahead. Later, they pitched in to help take down the tents, wrapping up a memorable campout experience filled with teamwork, laughter, and adventure.
