Year 5 Lakeside Activity Day

Year 5 had glorious weather for their Team Building day at Lakeside Campus on Friday.

The children were put into three groups and each group rotated around the following activities; orienteering, team building games, stand up paddle boarding and raft building.

In all the activities the children were encouraged to show logical thinking, leadership, resilience, perseverance, cooperation and problem solving. We wanted them to work as a team in all the activities but in particular we wanted them to step out of their comfort zone and try something new.

At the end of the day as the weather was particularly warm, the children were encouraged to jump into the lake to cool down. There were lots of styles of jumps from the silly salmon jump, the praying Buddha, the corkscrew to the sensible sit down and just fall in!
