Class Trumpet Lessons, Hit All The Right Notes!

On Monday, the whole school were treated to a performance by some Year 4’s on their trumpets.

4LS have had 6 hours of trumpet lessons with Mrs Hughes during their Music lessons to introduce them to playing a brass instrument and to try something new. Mrs Hughes has been very impressed with the overall sound the class produced and with how far some of the children progressed in such a short space of time. Performing two traditional tunes, the trumpeters started with a rendition of Hot Cross Buns, followed by a 2-part version of Mary Had a Little Lamb. A couple of children are moving on to individual tuition.
