Double Celebration for King’s Cricketers at End of Season Awards

Fifth Form pupil, Effie S-T, and former pupil Seth E have been recognised for their outstanding cricket achievements at Worcestershire County Cricket Club’s end-of-season awards evening.

Effie was named U16s Batter of the Year following an exceptional cricket season in which she scored 549 runs across 13 innings at an impressive average of 78.43. Her remarkable campaign included two half-centuries and three centuries, with a standout unbeaten 112 from just 53 balls against Glamorgan.

Seth received the Damian D’Oliveira Academy Player of the Year award after making a significant impact for Worcestershire and Ombersley. His season featured a crucial century against Northamptonshire in the U18 County Cup, followed by Second XI centuries against Essex and Somerset, including a superb 132 from 156 balls.

Both awards cap memorable seasons for two talented cricketers and reflect the dedication and skill that continue to mark them out as exciting players to watch. Having completed his A levels, Seth will now travel to Australia to continue his cricket journey. Congratulations to Effie and Seth on their richly deserved success.
