Weekly Review: Autumn Term 22 Week 4

The Barn felt a little quieter than normal this morning as the School gathered together for our weekly Celebration Assembly. Year 5 were still enjoying their adventure at Duke’s Barn and some some of the Year 6 boys were involved in the Warwick Prep Rugby Festival.

Mrs Knight began the assembly by awarding the Top House Point Achiever Certificates. This week they went to:

Elliott (Rec),

Emily (Y1),

Bruce (Y2),

Zara (Y3),

Evangeline (Y4),

Grace D (Y5),

Max D (Y6).

There was no Celebration Assembly last week due to our Harvest Festivals; however, the following pupils were awarded Top House Point Achievers from last week by Mrs Knight:

Alex V (Y1),

Amelie B (Y2),

Freddie W (Y3),

Barnaby J (Y4),

Harry C (Y5),

Issie F (Y6).

This week has seen a number of subject merits awarded. Well done to the following for their hard work:

Brax, Harper (Y1) & William K (Y1),

Zara (Y3),

Jess, Thomas & Barnaby (Y4),

Harriet (Y6).

This week Malvern was the House with the most House Points, which takes them into second place behind Bredon.

There was one Activity Badge to award this week. Well done to Max D, who has achieved his Music Badge!

Last week pupils across the School voted for members of Eco Council; today those who were elected by their peers received their new Eco badges.

Well done to:

Poppy & Monty (Rec),

Alex, Alexander & Madeline (Y1),

Amelie & Ffion (Y2),

Charlotte & Maysie (Y3),

Shann & Finn (Y4),

Holly, Oliver & Robyn (Y5),

Barnaby, Georgia, Jack & Sartaj (Y6).

You can read all about Eco Committee and the important role they will play in the School here.

This week Poppy, one of our newly elected Heads of School, lead the School in prayer. The assembly finished with a rousing rendition of When I Needed A Neighbour.

Pre-Prep Praise Assembly:

Well done to this week’s Pre-Prep Stars of the Week:

Year 2:

Cassian was commended for always putting his hand up and volunteering answers in class, Mr Roberts also praised Cassian for asking good questions. Bruce was rewarded for his super effort in maths and English this week.

Year 1:

Perle has worked hard at producing neat handwriting all week and William C has also produced some brilliant writing and was commended for always trying hard!

Reception:

Jack W has been a superstar this week, constantly trying his best, and has impressed with his beautiful handwriting. Matilda really impressed her teachers in swimming this week. Her confidence in the water has increased dramatically since the start of term.

Manners Certificates.

Manners certificates were awarded to Rosie J (Y2), Madeline (Y1) and Minnow (Rec). All three children have impressed with their great manners this week. Importantly, all of their teachers noted that none of the girls ever needed reminding to say please and thank you.
