We are sorry to hear the news regarding Malvern St James School and recognise how difficult and unsettling this will be for its community.

The King’s Worcester Foundation wishes to offer a supportive and practical conversation to MSJ families who may be considering their next steps for September. Where appropriate, we would be happy to discuss potential places across our schools and to answer any questions.

U12A Netballers Show Positivity, Intensity and Patience in County Tournament

King’s talented U12A netballers were excited to compete in the Worcestershire County Netball Tournament on Friday, following their well-deserved district championship title last term.

The team delivered a strong performance across the tournament, in both attack and defence, resulting in being unbeaten all morning. Defensively, they worked tirelessly to create turnovers, communicating effectively and shutting down the opposition’s options. In attack, the players showed great composure, demonstrating patience with their spacing and timing to build well-structured and successful plays. There was a real buzz around the courts from start to finish.

Miss Cox and Mrs Neville set the athletes three key targets for the tournament, quickly nicknamed “PIP”: being Positive, maintaining high Intensity, and showing Patience.

The team demonstrated positivity both on and off the court, consistently supporting and encouraging one another. Their intensity remained high throughout, with players pushing themselves and working hard in every match. Patience was evident in their play, as athletes focused on implementing skills and strategies practiced in training within a competitive environment.

The athletes responded very well to live feedback, making effective in-game adjustments. With a range of combinations explored, every player played an important role and contributed to the team’s overall performance.

We are incredibly proud of the team for their commitment to the targets and their teamwork, which ultimately helped secure the overall victory.

A huge thank you to School Games for organising the event.
