Four Wins Amongst Outstanding Performances at Worcester Small Boats Head

Almost 60 King’s rowers competed at the annual Worcester Small Boats Head, held on our home waters of the beautiful River Severn.

Competitors and spectators alike were treated to a glorious autumn day for our first big event of the season. The crews raced from the Camp Inn at Bevere to the Regional Rowing Centre at Worcester Rowing Club, a total of over 4500 metres.

King’s crews raced well on their home waters and recorded excellent times over the distance. The final results revealed many close races across the morning and afternoon divisions.

Among the outstanding results we celebrated four wins: The Boys J18 Coxed Four of Alex M, Freddie B, George G, Oliver C and Ben H coxing. Emily E won her Women’s J18 Single as did Ed S in his J16 Single Scull and Henrietta H in her WJ18 Single.
