U16A Netballers Crowned District Champions

King’s Worcester’s U16A netball team produced a superb afternoon of netball to win the District Tournament and secure their place in the County Rounds in November.

Playing in bright sunshine, the squad brought energy and intensity to every match. Their netball was full of fluidity and freedom, with excellent timing throughout the court and quick transitions helping them maintain a high tempo.

After opening with a 12 – 6 defeat against Chantry, the team responded brilliantly. They recorded a convincing 10 – 4 victory over Christopher Whitehead Language College before defeating Blessed Edwards 18 – 6 and RGS Worcester 19 – 6.

The results left King’s, RGS and Chantry level on points, with the tournament title decided on goal difference. King’s strong attacking performances and determined defending proved decisive, earning the team top spot and the district crown.

The achievement was made even more impressive by three U15 players stepping up to represent the U16A side. The whole squad can now look forward to testing themselves at the County Rounds in November following a richly deserved tournament triumph.
