Choristers Complete Great Birmingham Run for Worcester Cathedral
A group of choristers from King’s St Alban’s and King’s Worcester took on the Great Birmingham Run on Saturday, raising more than £800 in support of music at Worcester Cathedral and the Worcester Cathedral Choristers Association.
Jackson B, a former King’s St Alban’s pupil now in Lower Four at King’s Worcester, joined King’s St Alban’s choristers Alice, Geoffrey, Bertie and Daniel for the challenge. Jackson even chose to complete the run in his cassock despite the warm weather! All five choristers were praised for their determination and for embracing the event with enthusiasm, while representing the Foundation and the cathedral with distinction.
The run was organised to raise money for Worcester Cathedral’s music ministry and for the Worcester Cathedral Choristers Association, which supports choristers and their families.
Every donation will help preserve the musical life of Worcester Cathedral for the wider community to enjoy, while also supporting the continued work of the cathedral choir.
