Choristers Enjoy Cookies with Mr Charles

Choristers from King’s St Alban’s and King’s Senior School were congratulated for their hard work and commitment in a special get together with Mr Charles.

The children enjoyed cookies and hot chocolate in the Head’s Reception on Monday, where Mr Charles thanked them for their contribution to the school’s music programme and chatted with them about their love of music.

Mr Charles enjoyed learning more about the music they enjoy singing and their favourite composers, which include Elgar, Rutter, Chilcott and Beethoven.

King’s has a long and proud history as a Cathedral Choir School, continuing the tradition first established by King Henry VIII in 1541. Nineteen pupils are currently probationers or choristers, with a busy schedule of rehearsals, services and concerts throughout the year and many opportunities to perform with professional singers and instrumentalists in major concerts.
