Supporting Malvern St James Families

We are sorry to hear the news regarding Malvern St James School and recognise how difficult and unsettling this will be for its community.

The King’s Worcester Foundation wishes to offer a supportive and practical conversation to MSJ families who may be considering their next steps for September. Where appropriate, we would be happy to discuss potential places across our schools and to answer any questions.

Contact us confidentially to arrange a conversation.

Cross County Girls Qualify for the National Finals

For the first time ever, our King’s cross-country team has won the regional round of the ESSA Cross County Cup and qualified for the National Finals.

On Saturday 12th November, our U15 Inter Girls cross-country team, Catherina H, Eva M, Ella P and Lucy T, travelled to Bromsgrove School to run in the West Central Regional Finals, part of the ESAA (English Schools’ Athletic Association) Cross Country Cup. The girls had already had a fantastic start to their season, winning the district round earlier in the term.

On a short but hilly course, the girls made a good start, establishing themselves in strong positions.  They all performed fantastically well, with all runners finishing in the first 20 of over 55 runners.

The girls won the regional round with a score of 34 points overall, which meant they qualified for the nationals as regional winners. They will now go on to compete in the National Finals held at Leeds Grammar School in December.

We wish them all the best for the next round and can’t wait to hear how they get on.
