Supporting Malvern St James Families

We are sorry to hear the news regarding Malvern St James School and recognise how difficult and unsettling this will be for its community.

The King’s Worcester Foundation wishes to offer a supportive and practical conversation to MSJ families who may be considering their next steps for September. Where appropriate, we would be happy to discuss potential places across our schools and to answer any questions.

Contact us confidentially to arrange a conversation.

Nail-biting National Success for U15 Rugby Team

Our U15 Rugby team took on Ellesmere College in the third round of the NatWest National Cup competition yesterday, playing at home in glorious November sunshine.

This was certainly a gripping game for the neutral supporter. There were many twists and turns throughout the 60 minutes of rugby, with the first being an early try from King’s. The first half was evenly matched, but King’s managed to come away with the points when it mattered, reaching the break 24-7 up.

It was a very different start to the second half, with Ellesmere very much on top, scoring 29 unanswered points. Very much on the backfoot and with little over 10 minutes left on the clock, King’s somehow managed to claw their way back into the game. With the scores level at 36 all, Ollie M scored a try, which was then converted by Sam B as King’s went on to win the game in the very last play! It was wonderful to see many of our 1st XV players join the U15s in celebration as the final whistle blew.

The boys now go on to play Stowe School in the Regional Finals next week, and we wish them the very best of luck.
