King’s Worcester Students Achieve National Success in Climbing and Shooting
King’s Worcester pupils continue to excel in sports, with impressive performances in both climbing and shooting competitions, earning national recognition for their outstanding achievements.
Henry L’s Climbing Triumphs
Henry L of the Fifth Form has had a spectacular year in climbing, competing in the British Mountaineering Council’s Youth Climbing Series. Henry dominated the competition by securing first place in his region after winning each of the four qualifying rounds. His remarkable performance means he now advances to the National Finals, which will take place at the Depot Climbing Centres in Leeds on November 23 and 24. This remarkable feat highlights Henry’s dedication, skill, and perseverance in the sport, and we wish him all the best as he competes against the country’s top young climbers.
Bea B’s Shooting Success
Meanwhlle, Bea B has been making waves in the world of shooting. Representing King’s School Worcester (KSW), Bea claimed an individual Bronze medal at the British Shooting Schools Championships regional finals in Sheffield. In addition to her individual success, she, along with her teammates from Oswestry and Stafford Grammar School, won team Gold, securing their place in the national finals set to take place in February.
Bea’s accomplishments did not stop there. At the British Shooting Welsh Nationals held at Sport Wales in Cardiff over half term, Bea continued to demonstrate her prowess, winning a silver medal among approximately 50 competitors from schools across the UK. Her impressive performance qualified her for the British Shooting Schools Pistol West Midlands & North West Regional Finals, scheduled for Wednesday, November 20.
Both Henry and Bea have shown immense talent and have represented King’s Worcester with pride and distinction. Their dedication to their respective sports is an inspiration to their peers, and the school community eagerly anticipates their continued success in the upcoming national competitions. Congratulations to Henry and Bea on their incredible achievements!
