Talented Performers Take Centre Stage at Oscars Showcase
Talented young performers from the King’s Hawford, King’s St Alban’s and King’s Worcester wowed audiences this weekend as they took to the stage for Theatre Factory’s showcase event, A Night at the Oscars – a high-energy celebration of iconic songs from films and movie musicals.
Alongside their Theatre Factory friends, Aurelia A, Max M, Jess K, Edith D, Georgia P, Alice M, Flo S, Vicky D, Becky D and Zara W all shone on stage with their incredible singing, dancing and acting, which we have been equally impressed with at our own recent productions at King’s, including the highly acclaimed Chicago.
Staged as a playful awards ceremony, the production moved between individual solos and polished ensemble numbers, with performers stepping into the spotlight before returning to the ‘red carpet’ atmosphere of the evening.
Audiences were treated to a mix of film classics and modern favourites, presented with plenty of humour and showmanship.
The showcase capped off weeks of rehearsals, giving students the chance to perform for family and friends while celebrating their hard work, dedication and growing confidence on stage.
Congratulations to all our performers; we can’t wait to see you step into the spotlight again soon.
