Choristers Take Centre Stage in Young Sherlock
King’s choristers have once again swapped the choir stalls for the film set, appearing in an Amazon Prime series Young Sherlock.
Three years after boys from the School Choirs and Cathedral Choir featured in the final episode of Netflix’s The Crown, filmed at York Minster, the young singers travelled to Llandaff Cathedral in Cardiff for their latest screen appearance.
In The Crown, they performed as the choir during the wedding scene featuring Charles and Camilla. This time, the choristers appeared in episode three of Young Sherlock.
During the scene, they rehearsed Handel’s famous coronation anthem, Zadok the Priest, as a dramatic chase unfolds between the principal actors and the police.
The boys thoroughly enjoyed their time on set, while Mr Hudson, the Cathedral’s Director of Music, also embraced the occasion, emerging from make-up complete with an impressive Victorian moustache.
