Last week saw our Young Performers’ Concert series make a welcome return as a live event, albeit without the support of parents, friends and families present.
We are, therefore, delighted to be able to announce that the video of the concert is now available here. You will find a rich variety of performances on a range of instruments given by the talented pupils of Lower Fourth and Upper Fourth.
Young Performers’ Concerts have been a regular part of life at King’s for well over twenty years now, taking place once in each half term, and attracting performers of all levels of experience, most of whom return many times once they have plucked up the courage to try it once. Likewise, there are always loyal supporters, most notably over the years a couple who attended every concert over a five year period as their grand-daughters passed through the younger part of the school.
As pupils move beyond the age range of Young Performers’ Concerts they have a number of options available to them, and we are delighted that as well as the next Young Performers’ Concert on June 19th there will be an Open Mic Night on Friday July 2nd and a Cleobury Concert on Tuesday July 6th. We are not yet able to commit to live audiences for these events, but we will keep you posted.
In the meantime, if you have a young musician or two in your household please do go on supporting and encouraging them: it is clearly working!
