King's Worcester
12 October
Keeping A-head of the Opposition
During a welcome break in the inclement weather and fluctuating river level, on Saturday 7th October over 90 members of the Boat Club participated in their first long distance head race for the season, the Worcester Small Boats Head, racing in 35 crews across the day.
With Senior and Junior rowers attending from around the region and further afield, performances on the day from all our rowers were excellent. Our Sixth Form Girls were the fastest Women’s Four in the First Division and our Sixth Form Boys’ Four were the fastest crew over the course in the Second Division, closely followed by our J17 Boys’ Double.
It was a most exciting day of racing, with many fine performances that have set us up very well for the block of training and races to come.
Our Winning Crews were as follows:
Junior 18 (Sixth Form) Boys’ Quad Scull: Sam E, Jack D, Harry W, Tom W
Junior 18 (Sixth Form) Women’s Four: Amelia, V, Rebecca N, Mille D, Freya D
Junior 17 (Sixth Form) Boys’ Double Scull: Josh L, Elliott B
Junior 18 (Sixth Form) Boys’ Double Scull: Freddie H, Jude A
Junior 15 (Upper Remove) Boys’ Coxed Quad Scull: Alex M, Freddie G, Oliver Y, Oliver C, Henry S
Junior 18 (Sixth Form) Girls’ Coxed Four: Ellie C, Millie D, Emilie C, Freya D, Joseph Y
