King’s Appoints New Head of Psychology

Mrs Rebecca Kent will join the Senior School in September 2021 as the new Head of Psychology.

Mrs Kent, grew up in Cheshire, where she was a keen and highly active member of the Air Cadets and completed her Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award. She found a passion for Psychology after studying the subject at A Level, followed by reading Psychology at the University of Wales. In 2012 Mrs Kent, moved to Solihull where she taught A Level Psychology for 9 years. During this time she moved to Worcester attracted by the historic city surrounded by beautiful countryside.

She said of her appointment. “I am incredibly excited to become part of the King’s community, especially the opportunity to launch Psychology at A level. It is such a fascinating course which gives young people an insight into the human mind and behaviour. I cannot wait to be part of a warm, caring and supportive community which is full of opportunities for young people.”

Outside of work Mrs Kent loves family life, especially going for long walks with her husband, Adam and two young children, Isabella and Alexander.

Psychology A Level will be available for pupils from September 2021. The introduction of Psychology to the curriculum bolsters our commitment to providing a wide range of learning opportunities for students.
