King’s Rowers Retain Cup at Shrewsbury
King’s Rowers from the Lower Remove travelled to Shrewsbury School for an action-packed day of racing on Saturday.
The event was a very exciting meet, full the usual thrills of competition, particularly as it was raced in octuple sculls – boats not normally rowed at King’s.
Cool heads and the months of technical development were put to good use, which saw King’s retain the Sabrina Cup for overall points. King’s were also honoured with the top crew medals.
It was a terrific day out for our youngest King’s rowers from the Boat Club, who gained valuable experienced and showcased how far they have developed. Many thanks for Shrewsbury School for being fantastic hosts.
