King’s Students win award at Young Enterprise County Final

The King’s Foundation congratulates Fragments upon winning the Innovation and Technology Award at the Young Enterprise Herefordshire & Worcestershire County Final.

Students had to create a product and then sell it at a trading event on Worcester High Street in March. More recently, they had to write a report and deliver a presentation at Worcester Sixth Form College for our area finals. There they secured the innovation award and made it through to the county final, where they won the Innovation & Technology Award.

Fragments, as the company is named, created a Top Trumps style game based on locations in Worcester, the concept being that people were given a map and were then able to go and visit the places. They also pitched their idea to the Tourist Information Centre, who gave them an endorsement.

The judges were really impressed by Fragments and their product, which they all agreed has a lot of potential to be developed further if the students decide to continue. All the students engaged well in the interview and answered questions clearly and with great confidence. Their presentation was also described as “impressive and confidently delivered.”
