Mental Health Foundation, Peer Education Project

On Tuesday evening, we were delighted to begin training for the Mental Health Foundation, Peer Education Project.

After the initial launch of the project in October, our Sixth Form volunteers have now completed half of their training and are on their way to becoming “Peer Educators”.

The aim of the project is to promote good mental health for all with a peer-led community focus, giving young people the skills and knowledge they need to safeguard their mental health, and that of their peers. We are thrilled to begin this whole-school approach to positive mental health and wellbeing, as well as creating new leadership opportunities for our senior pupils.

Further training sessions will take place later this term with lessons being delivered to the Lower Years in the spring term.
