Polly’s Presentation for Articulation Prize

Congratulations to Lower Sixth artist Polly H, who represented the School at the Articulation public speaking competition held at the Herbert Gallery in Coventry.

The annual Articulation Prize invites pupils aged 16 to 19 to deliver a 10-minute presentation on a work of art, architecture, or artefact of their choice.

Polly gave a confident and eloquent presentation, analysing the work of contemporary painter Flora Yukhnovich.

The adjudicator, Art educator, writer and curator Jon Sleigh, was impressed with Polly’s “brilliant” writing, which “contained excellent analysis that drew deeply on art history as well as intuitive reactions.”  He summarised her presentation as an “articulate, kind and beautiful journey.”
