Talented King’s Golfer wins Stowe Putter Competition for the Third Time

King’s Worcester pupil Hayden S (Lower Fourth) has recently won the annual Stowe Putter competition on Stowe’s new excellent 9-hole golf course, located on the grounds of Stowe National Trust Park.

Hayden won the competition by 5 points, scoring 55, and is the only triple winner since 1967 across both classes of the competition which has had around 4,000 young golfers representing more than 100 Prep Schools.

Unfortunately, COVID-19 stopped the competition being held in 2020/21, however Hayden had won in 2018/2019 and 2022.

He is pictured here with the guest of honour JGS Robinson and the Stowe Putter.

Golfing Success for King's Pupil

Alongside Hayden’s victory in this competition, Hayden has been successful in his U16s golf singles competitions for Worcestershire County so far this year.

Hayden has been playing for the under-14s Worcestershire County Squad since he was seven years old and has been hailed as one of the region’s most promising golfers.

Last year Hayden also competed at the Junior World Championships, which he has competed at every year for the past three years (8-9, 10-11 and 11-12 age brackets).

Hayden has a promising future ahead of him and we wish him the best of luck for the rest of the season.
