Upper Fourth Pupils enjoy Paris Extravanganza
Last weekend 67 Upper Fourth Pupils and 7 Staff members headed off on a 3-day Paris Extravaganza trip. The trip was full of fun and excitement and gave the Upper Fourths an insight into French Culture.
Upper Fourth Pupils Matilda E and Sophie P provided a great summary of the trip:
On Friday, it was an early start however this did not deter the group’s energy throughout the long drive. We caught the ferry from Dover to Calais and then we continued with our journey towards Paris. The teachers created a fun quiz on French Culture and lots more to get us in the right mood.
After enjoying a meal and night at the luxurious hotel, we had a great time at Park Asterix on Saturday morning. There was something for everyone including exhilarating rollercoasters, water rides and shops selling souvenirs and snacks. We then continued exploring the sites and scenes of Paris, getting a close-up view of the Sacre Coeur. The dinner in a Parisian restaurant was delicious but unfortunately, we could not go on a boat trip despite the teachers’ efforts. However, we still enjoyed a scenic walk around the Centre of Paris.
On the Sunday we had plenty of time to reflect on all the new experiences and things we had learnt on the trip.
Thank you to all the teachers who made sure it was fun for everyone, and the driver Neil who took us on all the journeys and put up with the teachers’ “beautiful” Karaoke!
It was “simply the best”.
