King’s Actors Shine in Theatre Factory Production
Pupils from King’s wowed audiences at a recent production of Legally Blonde, staged by renowned theatre company, The Theatre Factory.
The cast featured Flo S, (FF), as Brooke Wyndham, Amelia W, (FF), as Paulette, Dan Lewis (UR), as well as OV Rosie Brookes. Each delivered an outstanding performance in the award-winning Broadway musical, which features large, energetic song and dance numbers.
Flo was sensational as Brooke Wyndham, dazzling audiences with her energy and charisma, while Amelia brought the house down with her fantastically funny portrayal of Paulette.
Flo, Amelia and Rosie are no strangers to the stage, with all three performing in numerous productions at King’s. Last year, Amelia was awarded ‘Best Supporting Actress in a Musical’ for her phenomenal performance in the senior musical, ‘White Christmas’ – an impressive recognition of her talent and hard work.
Now, both girls are taking centre stage once again in our Senior School Musical, Chicago, running on the 3rd, 4th, and 5th of December. Flo will be stepping into the iconic role of Roxie Hart, while Amelia takes on the powerhouse part of Matron “Mama” Morton. Both have thrown themselves into every singing, dancing, and acting rehearsal with passion and commitment.
Leanne Cook, Director of The Theatre Factory, commented: “King’s Worcester pupils have always played an integral role within Theatre Factory, and I was particularly proud of Amelia, Flo and Rosie, who have been with us since they were very young. Their dedication and professionalism are a true testament to King’s and the outstanding calibre of its pupils.”
“We are incredibly grateful for the continued support from the fantastic team at King’s and are excited to be working towards our upcoming productions of Finding Nemo and High School Musical, which will proudly feature some of King’s younger performers.”
