Staff v Student Netball Proves Fitting Farewell to U6 Leavers
As Upper Sixth students approach the end of their time at King’s, the annual staff versus Sixth Form leavers netball match provided a fitting way to mark the occasion, celebrating the strong relationships built during their years at the school.
The highly anticipated match was also a wonderful opportunity to recognise the Upper Sixth students’ commitment to school sport over the course of their King’s journey.
Players and supporters alike embraced the fixture with enthusiasm, creating an exciting atmosphere and a healthy sense of rivalry. There was plenty of laughter alongside some impressive netball, including confident shooting, strong rebounding and fast, competitive play from both teams.
Staff made the stronger start, but the Sixth Form leavers responded well with a spirited comeback in the second half, ensuring an entertaining contest.
Staff eventually took a hard-fought victory, with the final score 25-22.
Special thanks go to the King’s staff who gave up their Friday evening to take part and help make the event such a success.
We were also extremely grateful to Lower Remove students Chloe and Emily for umpiring the match, as well as Lower Sixth students Lauren, Anna and Hattie for scoring and selecting some fantastic music.
